New here and worried my vial lost its vacuum

Hi everyone, I’m brand new — just finished my first week (day 6 today). I’m usually a worrier, so please be gentle. I keep my little vial in the fridge in the box it came in, and when I opened it this morning there wasn’t that tiny whoosh/pop I thought I remembered.

It’s a 3 mL vial and still looks clear, no cracks, and the rubber top seems snug. I don’t want to bother anyone, but now I’m overthinking whether these vials are supposed to be vacuum-sealed or if some just aren’t. Is this something you’ve noticed with yours? Thanks so much.

I’m on the road most weeks too — airports, hotel mini-fridges, the whole circus. Mine lives in a little insulated pouch with a gel pack, and I’ve learned to check the rubber stopper is seated before I spiral.

Quick question: was the whoosh maybe when you first pierced the top, not when you opened the box? Mine does a faint pressure thing then and zero drama when I’m just looking at it.

Also, hotel fridges can run cold if cranked up, so I keep mine near the door. Not medical advice, just travel logistics. Clear, no cracks, snug top sounds boring in the best way.

Has yours been punctured yet? That’s the fork in my mental flowchart.

Mine always loses the whoosh after first puncture, so I’d only find silence noteworthy on a never-entered vial. I keep a dorky notes-app log: cheap fridge thermometer high/low, date received, date first punctured, and any change in clarity.

In the trials, vacuum gets talked about more as a packaging clue than a make-or-break sign. If it’s fresh and never entered, what does your pharmacy insert say about storage/checking? That’s where I’d look first.

I keep a stupidly detailed note per vial: lot, date opened, fridge shelf, whoosh y/n, stopper condition, and shipping transit days. Last 4: 3 whooshed, 1 didn’t. The no-whoosh one was also my longest transit (8 days vs 3–4). Same clear look, snug top.

So now I only flag it if something else changes. Did yours come with a temp strip or just the box?

That’s the one data point I wish more sellers included. Also, what fridge temp are you seeing?

Mine swings 36–41°F and I log it because it’s the only variable I can actually control.
