I was hunting for a grocery list in my phone and ended up in 2019 photos. Both kids were tiny, the kitchen looked like a tornado, and I was always in the background holding somebody's half-eaten waffle.
I used to cringe at those pictures because I looked exhausted and bigger than I wanted to be. Now I mostly feel tender about us surviving that season.
Since starting this med in March, I'm down 22 lbs, but the bigger shift is that the 9pm snack drawer isn't calling my name. It's got cheese sticks, grapes, and a sad sleeve of crackers now.
I still eat at weird times because, kids. But the photos don't sting the same way.
Anyone else get unexpectedly soft about old pictures now?
