An old cereal box found its way back into rotation

Three years into this, I mostly trust my routine, but every so often an old food sneaks back in and surprises me. This week it was raisin bran. I grabbed a box for my partner, then ended up eating a bowl with plain Greek yogurt instead of milk because I wanted the protein to carry me to lunch.

Two cups of cereal, a little yogurt, and a handful of frozen blueberries. It kept me full until almost 1, which is rare for me on a work-from-home morning.

Past threads here have talked about meals getting boring, and I get that. But I forgot how nice it is when something plain and almost nostalgic just works.

No reinvention, no elaborate prep. Just a bowl, a spoon, and one less decision before my first call.

Anyone else have an old staple quietly re-enter the lineup?

sorry to hijack — do you weigh cereal or just use the cup? i keep getting wildly different bowls depending on the raisin-to-flake ratio.

anyway, raisin bran + greek yogurt is sneaky solid. i do that after late ranked matches when i want crunchy but not a full second dinner.

weighing the cereal dry helped me, then i add yogurt by grams because two cups can swing a lot depending on how packed it is. do you log the yogurt as its own protein or just count the whole bowl as one thing?

plain greek plus a splash of sugar-free syrup is weirdly good for a sweet craving too.
