I'm 11 weeks in and the scale has been stubborn lately: only 6 lbs down in the last 5 weeks, 14 total. I almost skipped my monthly mirror photo because I felt puffy and discouraged.
But I put on the same leggings and stood in the same spot, and wow - my face looks less swollen, my waistband sits differently, and I can see actual shape coming back. The tape measure agrees: 2.5 inches off my waist since week 1.
It's weird how the camera caught what I couldn't feel day to day. I still track hunger, sleep, and energy, but photos are becoming the gentlest reality check for me.
For those who tke progress pics, do you use the same outfit and lighting, or just snap whatever? I'm curious what helps you trust what you see.
