Nineteen Sundays same readings, then a different Monday

I’ve been in maintenance since last spring, and for a long stretch the scale was basically furniture. Same range, same three tenths, same shrug. I didn’t change much on purpose: kept the 20-minute post-dinner walk, kept protein at breakfast, kept the measuring cup in the drawer instead of on the counter.

Last Monday the number dipped below the line I’d been staring at since February. No dramatic reveal — I actually thought the battery was low.

What mattered more was that my habits felt automatic, not heroic. The drop was nice, but the routine was the real evidence.

For those further out in maintenance, when the scale moves after a long flat stretch, do you trust it right away or wait a few mornings?

that monday dip would make me suspicious in a good way lol. did anything shift sunday—sleep, sodium, carbs, or what time you weighed?

i keep a dumb phone note with weight + sleep + last soda + whether i did the after-dinner walk, and my only “mystery” monday dips lined up with a low-salt sunday or weighing 2 hrs later after sleeping in. if thse are same, then maybe it’s just the scale being a drama queen.

Congrats on the Monday dip—but I’d treat it like a curious guest, not a roommate yet. I had a similar stretch: same three tenths for months, then one random Tuesday dropped under my line.

Turned out my post-dinner walk had gotten faster because the weather cooled, and I was drinking more water earlier in the day. Nothing dramatic. What I’d track now: are the next two Mondays also at or below that number, or did it bounce back by Wednesday?

If it holds for a month, it’s your new floor. If not, it was just hydration/sodium timing. Either way, long game.
