Prior auth round two came through at my little pharmacy

I got my denial letter back in August, right when school supplies were eating my budget. My doctor’s office said they’d resubmit when the plan updated, so I called the little pharmacy in town every couple weeks like a nosy neighbor.

Last Tuesday they sent it again, and yesterday the tech left me a voicemail: it’s back on the formulary and my copay is $35. I sat in the Piggly Wiggly parking lot and got misty over a pharmacy voicemail, which is a new one for me.

I know this doesn’t happen for everybody, and I don’t want to sound braggy. For those who’ve been denied, did you wait for the next plan update, file the appeal, or just ask your clinic to try again? I’m rooting for everyone still in the paperwork swamp.

that voicemail relief is real—I did a little happy dance in the grocery pickup line when mine got sorted. Since you had that gap, maybe lean hard on tracking the non-scale stuff for a minute?

I’m in a stubborn plateau too; scale hasn’t budged since July, but my waist tape and rings tell a different story. I pre-log breakfast and lunch, leave dinner loose, and it keeps me from spiraling.

Did they tell you the new copay amount yet, or just that it’s back on formulary? The pharmacy pricing around here shifts every plan year, and I’m nosy about whether the little places are better.

Night shift here. The pharmacy calls were smart. I keep a note on my phone: date, time, person, what they said. Saved me when insurance flipped. Also track protein and water, not just scale. Weigh same time
