The craving loop didn't stop, it moved departments

My between-meal urge dropped from a 7 to a 3 over six months, but the planning didn't. I still inventory the fridge at 10:15 pm. I just close it without negotiating. Less screaming, more paperwork. Did you get actual silence, or just a quieter version of the same meeting?

I work nights. Not silence for me. The 10 pm fridge patrol turned into a calendar alert.

I started logging the urge itself: time, trigger, what I was avoiding. Turns out it wasn't hunger. It was the transition between shift brain and sleep.

I'd stand in the kitchen because I didn't want to start winding down. Now I brush my teeth right after my last meal and do 10 minutes of dumb admin.

Urge still shows, but it's on the agenda. Question: is your 10:15 inventory before or after your main night meal?

That tells you if it's hunger or habit.

The calendar alert made me laugh—at least the meeting has an agenda now 😂 does it actually help you close the loop?
