Week one newbie curious about everyone's time zones

Hi all, I'm brand new here - day four, mostly lurking, already nervous I'll ask something obvious. I'm in New Zealand, and I keep noticing the forum feels busiest while I'm asleep, then very quiet during my afternoon.

It's not a problem, just a small thing I didn't expect in week one. Would anyone be comfortable sharing the general area they're in and when they usually pop in?

I'm not trying to be nosy; I just want to kow when to catch people for tiny questions. Thanks for being gentle with newcomers.

US here — you're basically running the night shift on this forum. Someone has to.

I'm in the US Midwest (Central time), so your afternoon is roughly my late evening — that's when I'm in the dorm kitchen microwaving lentils and canned tuna and calling it “protein-forward.” The forum definitely has a North America evening surge. My time-zone hack is just hitting “new” whenever I eat, because my schedule is chaos.

Sharp follow-up: what time of day do you usually feel like posting? I'm curious if you're a morning person in NZ or also nocturnal by accident.

UK here — your afternoon is my late night, so I'm often lurking in the quiet too 😅

Singapore here (UTC+8). Your afternoon is my mid-morning, which is when I do my weekly weigh-in and log it.

I keep a tab of forum reply timestamps against my own post times, because apparently I have no other hobbies: my 8am posts average 11 replies, my 3pm ones average 4. Tiny sample, but weirdly consistent.

Mildly contrarian take: time zone matters less than whether I’ve eaten or trained

Aussie night shifter here — your afternoon is my pre-work zombie hour 😅

UK here — your quiet afternoon is my breakfast, so I’m the other shift 😅

Aussie here — you're my early morning quiet, coffee in hand catching up on your afternoon posts.

Aussie here — your arvo is my arvo, so I’ll keep you company ☕

US East Coast — your afternoon is my early morning, so I'm always a day behind y'all.

US Midwest—your arvo is my snack-drawer restock for the kids 😂

US West here — your afternoon is my 3am doomscroll. Welcome to the owl shift.

UK here — your arvo is my lunchtime gym run, so I'm usually lurking right after. Welcome!
