Conference season ended and my grocery list stayed boring

conference season just wrapped, and I've seen the usual crop of 'we fixed obesity' takes floating through here. After three years on this board, I've learned to read those headlines the way I read the weather: useful, but I still decide whether to carry an umbrella.

My own arithmetic is 29 months on a GLP-1, 54 pounds down, currently maintaining in a 6-pound band.

The part no conference graph captures is that my Friday nights still need a plan, my protein target still needs a number, and my sleep still shows up in my appetite by Saturday morning. I'm glad the science is moving.

I just don't think a podium tak changes the small, repetitive choices that keep my weight out of the old range.

Anyone else skim these headlines and feel oddly unmoved? Or do they give you something to bring to your next appointment?

My grocery list is boring too: same five dinners on rotation because 5pm with two kids is not a tasting menu. The one thing that saves me is the snack drawer.

Sunday I pre-portion cheese sticks, grapes, roasted chickpeas, and a few mini pretzels into little bags. Not exciting, but it stops the 4pm pantry raid.

What’s your boring-but-working repeat meal? I need one new one that doesn’t require a recipe or a clean kitchen.
