Small win tonight: I closed the cafe, sat down, and realized I hadn't eaten standing up all day. That used to be my whole thing — half a scone here, a spoon of soup there, "quality control" bites that added up to basically a second lunch.
Six weeks ago I started plating myself a real meal at 2pm and sitting at the back table with it, phone face down. I also stopped leaving the day's leftovers within arm's reach; they get wrapped and labeled for tomorrow instead of picked at while I wipe counters.
Down 11 pounds since mid-February, and my apron straps have one more hole of slack, which honestly felt better than the number. The standing-up snacking was the thing I never counted. Anyone else work around food all day and find a way to taste without it turning into a whole serving?
