Bathroom trip mood

Saw a little news segment this morning — not a study I can quote, just a TV doc saying the gut-brain thing is a bigger deal than most folks treat it. I laughed because my whole day is different when that first bathroom trip actually happens.

I'm 44, down 26 pounds since February, and before GLP-1 I could go two days without thinking about it. Now? If I don't get my quiet 6:40 a.m.

visit before coffee, I'm grouchy at the pharmacy counter and I don't even want to answer the insurance lady's questions. When it goes well, I feel light and weirdly cheerful, like I already accomplished something.

My husband says I'm ridiculous. Maybe. But I'm curious — does anyone else judge their morning by whether that trip happened?

Or am I the only one treating it like a tiny daily win? Not askig for medical tips, just wondering if this is a common GLP-1 thing.

Hi—brand new here and only in week one, so I’m probably overthinking this, but I’ve started jotting the time, how much water I’ve had, and whether I’ve walked yet in a little phone note, mostly to see if there’s a pattern. Curious for you: does it seem more about timing for you, or does what you ate the night before actually shift things?

Sorry if that’s nosy—just trying to learn how folks here track it without making it a whole project.

I’m the spreadsheet person for this. I log bathroom trips by time plus a 1–5 mood/energy score, mostly out of curiosity.

My very unscientific trendline: days with a trip before 9am average ~180 fewer calories at my 3pm snack window, and I’m way less likely to write off the whole day. Fiber timing seems to matter more for me than total fiber, but that’s just my own log.

Are you tracking time-of-day at all, or just whether it happened?
