Hit my target number and the Wednesday routine didn't move

Goal weight logged yesterday: 172, down 61 since I started keeping the chart. What surprised me is how anticlimactic it was. I weighed in, entered it in the sheet, made coffee, went to work.

The 28-day average sits at 173.4, so I'm calling it rather than waiting for the daily number to behave. My waist is 34 inches, down from 42. Protein target, three lifting sessions, ten-minute walk after dinner — none of that changes just because the line crossed a threshold.

What I'm actually unsure about is what to track now. Chasing a lower number feels like it would cost me the habits that got me here. Holding the range feels boring but probably correct.

For those past goal: did you shift your metrics, or just keep running the same dashboard with a different flag on it?

Congratulations—and I get the anticlimactic feeling. The waist change (42 to 34) is the one I’d frame, honestly.

When I hit my own target, I kept the Wednesday ritual but changed the entry: weight, waist, and whether I’d gotten my two 20-minute walks in. It gave the routine something to hold onto besides the scale.

What did your Wednesday routine include besides the weigh-in? I’m curious whether you’re keeping the chart as-is now that the target’s logged, or switching it to more of a maintenance check-in.
