My travel case now has two pen boxes and zero chill

Four flights in eleven days, three hotel rooms, and one conference breakfast that started before my brain did. My prescription changed while I was already on the road, so now I’m carrying the old box and the new box and trying to remember which side pocket is which.

I’m not asking how to mix or match anything—just how people keep a mid-trip change from becoming a tiny scavenger hunt at 6 a.m.

under hotel bathroom lighting. I tried a washi-tape label and a phone reminder, but I still opened the wrong flap twice. The mini fridge also has a sensor shelf that beeps if you look at it wrong.

Do you use a checklist, separate pouches, or just accept the chaos until you’re home? Lighthearted tips welcome; my dignity is somewhere in the carry-on.

I’m chaos-central too. What saved me on a two-city trip: one tiny clear pouch per box, labeled with Sharpie — “OLD — keep separate” and “NEW — current.” I snapped a photo of each label before leaving so I could check without pulling both out at 6am.

Also put a sticky note on the hotel bathroom mirror: “switch pouch after breakfast” — not a dose thing, just which one lives in my purse. Protein bars and electrolyte packets go in the same pouch so my snack-drawer brain doesn’t lose everything.

Did the new box meet you on the road, or was it waiting at a hotel? That logistics part would wreck me.
