Same batch, two COA purities: how do you verify?

I run a cafe and treat these like supplier spec sheets. First thing I check is whether both PDFs name the same lab, same accreditation number, and same method version (e.g., HPLC-UV vs LC-MS). If the method/column or test date differs, I don't care that the batch number

A summary COA alone doesn’t tell you whether 98.7 vs 99.3 is method drift or rounding. I’d also check whether the batch date sits between those two metadata dates. If they can’t produce raw-ish data, that’s my line—move on.

I’d check whether the batch number means the same thing on both PDFs. Some vendors use it for the API lot, others for the fill/finish date. If one COA was issued 3 days earlier, it might be a re-test or different fill, not the same physical batch.
