Night shift bathroom lighting showed something new at my waist

Been on a GLP-1 since January. Down 46 lbs. No hype. I don't chase abs. Last Tuesday, 3 a.m., crappy bathroom light.

Pulled up my shirt to check a rash from the work belt. Saw two faint lines angling down from my ribs. Not a six-pack. Not Instagram.

Just a shape I haven't seen since my twenties. Stood there too long. Then clocked back in. I work nights, so eating is weird. Protein shake at 6 p.m. Dinner at 2 a.m. Nothing magic. Walking on break.

Lifting twice a week when I'm not dead. Weird part: scale barely moved this month. 2 lbs. The lines showed up anyway.

Guess my body is doing stuff my logbook misses. Anyone else notice changes in awkward lighting before the numbers caught up?

hi, I'm new here, week one. That bathroom light thing is so real.

I work nights too and the fluorescent glare at 3 a.m. makes every shadow look like a bruise.

Did the lines surprise you more because it was that time of night, or would you have seen them in daylight too? I'm still figuring out how to track anything when my schedule flips. Thanks for sharing.

Night shift lighting is the most honest mirror, I swear. I had a similar 4 a.m. moment in my bathroom—caught that side line above my work belt, not a six-pack, just less of me spilling over.

What helped me stop overthinking was a cheap fabric tape measure and the same pair of work pants once a month, same time, before coffee. My insurance changed last year, and the local pharmacy tech became my unofficial cheerleader when I picked up my stuff.

Not asking for numbers, but do you notice those lines more on nights when you actually got your water in? I’m still figuring out if dehydration makes my waist look totaly different by morning.
