Sat through a whole meeting with one knee over the other

Halfway through a Tuesday meeting I realized I'd had my right knee stacked over my left for maybe twenty minutes, and nothing felt pinched. Awhile back that position lasted about a minute before my hip and the underside of my thigh started complaining, so I'd always shift and sprawl instead.

I'm down 31 pounds over roughly seven months, which isn't a headline number, and I'm trying not to over-read every small change. But I think a lot of it is just less mass to maneuver — the mechanics got easier before anything visible caught up.

In the trials they track weight, waist, blood pressure, that sort of thing; nobody logs "sat like a normal person through an entire agenda." Still, it's the kind of moment that quietly convinces me the change is holding and not just a good week. Anyone else notice a positional thing like this before the outside caught up?

Ha, the knee-stack test is such a weirdly good non-scale win. Mine went from instant pinch to tolerable around month 5, but it tracked way more with adding unilateral lower work than the scale.

I lift 4x and started doing Bulgarian split squats, step-ups, and 90/90 hip switches twice a week; within a month, sitting cross-legged in a meeting stopped feeling like a hip flexor hostage situation. Are you training single-leg stuff right now, or mostly bilateral compounds?

Curious if your split has changed since the weight came off.

Night shift here. Same thing kicked in around 25 lbs down. Used to get that dead-leg pinch in five minutes.

Now I can sit through handover with one knee stacked on the other. Weirdest win: tying my boots without holding my breath. I don’t track inches much, just a monthly waist tape and whether stairs feel different.

Does it hold up at the end of a 12, or only when you’re fresh? Mine’s way better after sleep, worse around 0400. Still counts as a real win.
