I keep a tab for late-night kitchen visits and one for calories, mostly to prove to myself I'm not imagining patterns. Last night I got the usual 10:45 urge: stand up, open fridge, eat something salty while deciding it doesn't count.
I stood there, shut the door, and went back to the couch. That's the part I didn't expect.
The hunger piece is obvious and measurable - my average intake is down about 400/day over 9 weeks. But the second effect is a weird delay between wanting and doing.
I can see the thought arrive and not obey it. I'm not claiming it's magic or universal.
My spreadsheet shows kitchen trips went from 19 in February to 6 in March to 2 so far this month, and my weight is down 12.4 lb since starting. Anyone else notice the action gap more than the appetite part?
