Three pounds have been squatting on my progress since April

i'm not new here, just tired. Started at 312, down to 269, and since the first week of April my 14-day trend has bounced between 268.3 and 271.1.

I lift twice a week, walk 7-9k steps, hit protein most days, and my food log is honest about the handfuls of cereal. Appetite is quiet, which is its own weird problem because I can under-eat and still not see the line move.

I'm not looking for a magic fix. I just want to know what you audit first when the trend goes sideways for weeks: portions, steps, sleep, or just patience?

Because I'm rotating between all four and getting nowhere.

Your honesty about the cereal is refreshing. When my 14-day trend flattened, I started a Sunday weekly average and compared only those.

A 0.15 lb/week loss can vanish in a 14-day window, especially with lifting. What do your weekly averages say over the last six weeks?

I would also take a waist measurement at the same time each week. If that is trending down while the scale squats, you are still changing.

If both are flat, one week of weighing the cereal handfuls—just to see the number—can be surprisingly informative. Mine often added up to a small meal.

Keep going; this is tedious, not failure.

cafe owner here, and the standing-up bites are my villain too—croissant corner, spoon of ganache, the “is this still good?” taste. What finally moved my flat trend was logging those tastes in the same app as meals, in grams, for one week.

Annoying, but it showed ~180 extra calories most days. I also pre-portioned my own lunch before service so I wasn’t grazing at 2pm.

When your appetite is quiet, are you eating enough at actual meals, or does under-eating turn into random bites later? 43 lbs down is not nothing—three squatting pounds can move.

Night shifts wreck scale consistency. Are you weighing after the same sleep block every time?

I only compare same-shift weeks, not day-to-day. Also weigh the cereal for a week—handfuls are sneaky.

And check steps on shift vs off; I drop about 3k on nights without noticing. What’s your weekly average doing compared with that 14-day trend?
