Three years in, my grocery list does the heavy lifting

Hit my third year on this forum a couple weeks ago. Down 62 pounds over roughly 18 months, and the last 14 have mostly been about not handing it back. The thing I didn't expect is how little of this lives in my head now. The decisions migrated into the cart.

Same store, same basic order every week: two rotisserie chickens, the big tub of plain yogurt, bags of frozen edamame, whatever fruit is cheap. I stopped negotiating with myself at 6pm because the fridge had already answered.

I still read the peptide threads and skim the trial posts, but the stuff I actually change my behavior for comes from people who've been at this a while and write like they're tired rather than excited. That tone has been more useful to me than any before-and-after.

For the long-timers: what's the one habit that outlasted everything else for you? Mine is the cart.

This resonates. I'm two years in and my cart is basically ground turkey, bags of slaw, and those little guac cups.

The daily scale still throws random 2-lb spikes from sodium or a late dinner, but my trend line just shrugs. The cart doesn't care about the noise.

One question: do you have an "if I'm out of X, I'm ordering takeout" item? For me it's the pre-cooked chicken.

If I forget it, the whole week goes sideways.
