I've been at my goal since last spring and holding steady, mostly on habit — protein at breakfast, a walk after dinner, the same boring lunch five days a week. Then I needed a small procedure and had to stop my med for a while beforehand.
By day four the old soundtrack was back: fridge at 9pm, second helping without thinking, the whole thing. Not a binge exactly, just... loud. What surprised me was how calm I stayed about it.
A couple of years ago that stretch would have sent me into a shame spiral and a full restart. This time I logged it, ate the extra toast, and waited it out.
Once I was back on, the volume dropped again and my weight settled within three pounds of where I left off. Honestly the pause taught me something useful — the noise was never a character flaw, it was chemistry I'd just stopped hearing for a while.
Anyone else had to come off for a medical reason and been caught off guard by how loud it gets?
