Weekly check-in — week of Oct 26

Fresh week, fresh thread. Wins, stalls, side quests — post whatever's on your mind. No format required, no numbers gatekeeping. See you in there.

Jumping in. My scale bounced up 1.8 lb after a salty ramen night, but my 7-day trend is still creeping down, so I’m calling it noise.

The thing that helped this week: I stopped weighing before coffee and started logging it after I’ve been upright for a bit — way less “is this real?” panic. Side quest is getting 8k steps before dinner, which is weirdly easier than after.

Anyone else have a metric they check that isn’t the scale? I’ve been watching resting HR and how my rings fit.

Both calmer than my brain at 6am.

Dorm dinner: tuna packet + microwave rice + hot sauce. Weirdly hit. My protein goal? Still playing hard to get.

Night shift. My week was a stall. Not a mystery. I ate crackers at 3am twice. Tracked it, owned it. Reset: cooler with tuna, cottage cheese, grapes.

Walk 10 min after shift before bed. Weigh after waking, not before.

Hunger cues are trash on nights. Anyone else get ravenous at 2am if dinner was light?

I’m trying protein at midnight and nothing after 4. Too early to tell. No hype, just data.

waiting for the same answer glad it is not just me

my small win: I made a little “emergency protein” pouch for my bag—string cheese, turkey jerky, roasted chickpeas—because 4pm hunger kept sending me straight to the office candy jar. Not glamorous, but it saved me twice this week.

Sharp follow-up: what’s your best no-cook, no-fridge-for-hours protein snack? I’m trying to build a short list before the Halloween candy bowl gets real.
