did your stomach get tight and bloated on recovery pep stuff?

yo so i'm mostly a late night gamer, 2am ranked + diet soda habit. been doing a soda swap experiment: 3 weeks no dr pepper, only fizzy water. down 9 lbs on my glp-1.

but i also tried a recovery pep thing for like 10 days because my sleep was trash after raids. now my lower belly feels weirdly tight and pooched out, like i'm full but not in a food way.

shirts that fit last month are snug at the waist. it's not huge but it's annoying and not matching the scale.

anyone else get that hard bloat/fullness from pep stuff? did it chill after you stopped, or am i just blaming the wrong thing?

not looking for dosing talk, just vibes/experiences.

That timing sounds frustrating. One thing I’d separate in your log: the fizzy water swap versus the recovery pep thing.

When I leaned on sparkling water as a soda replacement, I got a tight, full lower-belly feeling in the evening, especially if I drank it close to lying down after gaming. It eased when I shifted most of my fizzy water earlier and tracked symptoms beside my weekly weight average.

Was the tightness already there before the pep stuff, or did it start during those ten days? Also, did that pep thing contain caffeine or sugar alcohols? Those details might help you spot a pattern.

Yo — 3-year regular here. There was a thread last spring about sparkling water bloat that sounded a lot like this.

For me, the tight/pooched lower belly wasn’t food; it was carbonation + marathon 2am gaming posture + a waistband pressing in. I tracked two things for a week: when I had fizzy water vs. the recovery pep thing, and my morning waist measurement before eating.

If it’s soft/gone after a good burp or overnight, that’s one pattern; if it’s constant, different. Did the tightness start the same week you added the pep stuff, or did the soda swap come first?

Fellow 2am gamer here. The tight pooch thing happened to me when I was sipping fizzy water through a straw while slumped in my chair during queues.

I wasn’t eating more, but I was basically swallowing air for hours. What helped me track it: I noted the time of my last carbonated drink and whether I stayed upright for 20–30 min after.

Morning was flat, post-raid was balloon. Does yours show up right after a long session, or is it there even on non-gaming days?

That might tell you if it’s bubbles/posture or the pep stuff.

Heck yes on 9 lbs and 3 weeks no Dr Pepper — that’s a real streak! The tight pooch thing for me was less about the drink itself and more about timing: I was finishing my recovery thing during late raids, then going horizontal soon after.

I logged finish time vs. lying-down time and whether I burped, and it was obvious. Are you sipping it right before bed?

Does it ease up by morning or after moving around? I’d track waist/comfort too, not just scale.
