The movie-night snack run stopped happening on its own

Last Friday I queued a movie and, for once, didn't build a snack plan first. Normally I'd pause halfway to make popcorn, then come back with something salty, then sweet.

This time I made a mug of tea, watched the whole thing, and only realized at the credits that the kitchen had never called me. I've been trying to notice hunger and fullness without arguing with them, and this felt less like willpower and more like a volume knob turned down. It was a small, quiet win.

Has anyone else noticed a habit loosen before any other change showed up?

That's a cool shift. I’ve noticed something similar with books—used to need chips during suspense chapters, now I make a warm drink and keep a fidget ring nearby.

For me, a lot of it was “my hands need a job,” not actual hunger. When the kitchen didn’t call, did it feel peaceful or a little eerie?

And were there any body cues—stomach quiet, mouth just bored—that helped you tell it was habit rather than hunger?

This is the weird part I’m trying to nail down too. I lift 4x/week and stay pretty dialed on protein/sleep, so I don’t want to ignore real hunger and blow recovery. But movie nights used to be pure cue, not fuel. Concrete thing I’ve done:
