SSRI plus progesterone changed my scale math

i'm 38, lift four days a week, aim for 150g protein, and sleep is finally a non-negotiable. Started fluoxetine and a progesterone prescription about ten weeks ago for mood and cycle stuff.

Since then: scale up 7-8 lbs, waist up roughly an inch, yet my main lifts haven't dropped and my weekly averages are creeping in a way that doesn't match my intake.

I'm not looking for dosing advice or a diagnosis. I track trends, not single mornings, and I still don't love how this looks on paper. For those who've run an SSRI or progesterone alongside lifting and higher protein: did you see appetite, fluid, or recovery shift?

How long before the noise settled, if it did? Trying to figure out what's water/med adjustment versus actual recomp drift.

The waist +1 with lifts holding is what I’d anchor to, honestly. I track waist at the same time—morning, fasted, after exhale—and I’ve learned my sodium/carb ratio can swing the scale 3–4 lbs in a week without real fat gain.

My weekly averages only made sense once I compared same-cycle-phase weeks; otherwise luteal/med-timing water masked everything. Are you tagging your weigh-ins by cycle phase or med schedule?

Also, are rings/socks tighter in the morning? That’s my tell for fluid vs. actual tissue.

If you’re not already, maybe add a thigh or upper-arm tape measure—waist alone can get noisy with bloat.
