I figured out my 3 p.m. crash was mostly just a hydration issue

I tracked energy, water, lunch protein, and steps for 14 days. The pattern was not subtle: on days I hit about 80 oz of water and 30g protein at lunch, 3 p.m. felt like a normal hour. On skip-breakfast days, the vending machine ran the meeting. GLP-1 turned down the food noise, but it does not schedule my water.

So I docked a 24 oz bottle at my desk charger—now I have to touch it before my phone. After 14 days, zero 3 p.m. snacks, and my focus is less fuzzy. Not profound, just fewer unforced errors. Anyone else find their worst appetite window was actually a logistics problem?

I had the opposite wrinkle: total water was okay, but timing was garbage. I’d chug 20 oz before noon, then nothing after lunch, and 3 p.m. still flattened me.

Now I fill a 24 oz mason jar and put a rubber band at the halfway mark—if it’s not below that band by 1:30, I sip instead of scrolling. I also started counting my afternoon iced tea, because I was basically swapping water for caffine and wondering why I felt like a dishrag.

Did you track when the water went in, or just the daily total? That timing piece was the one that changed my afternoons.

Hi, I’m only on week one, so this might be a silly question. Did you track when you drank the water, or just the total?

I’ve noticed if I gulp 24 oz at once I’m just running to the bathroom, but sipping 4–6 oz every hour sees to keep my afternoon steadier. Only 3 days of data though. Also curious if a saltier lunch changed anything for you vs a plainer one.

Sorry for all the questions—just trying to copy what works without overthinking it.
