Hi everyone — I've been reading here for a while and finally made an account instead of just lurking. I'm 44, live outside Columbus, work in medical billing, and have two kids in middle school, so my gym time is whatever's left after dinner and homework are done.
I've lifted on and off since my twenties and I really do love it, but the last few years the scale kept creeping up no matter how carefully I counted everything in that app I've had since college. Six weeks of paying closer attention to all of it, and the food noise is just… gone, which is honestly a little surreal.
Mostly I'm here because I don't want to lose my strength along with the weight, and I'd love to hear how people handle eating around workouts when nothing sounds good to you. Nice to meet you all.
