Hi everyone, Cara here. I'm 41, I work overnights as a hospital scheduler, so my sleep is a mess and my meal timing is worse.
Ten weeks of eating less and walking the dog way more than I used to, and I'm down about 19 pounds — I've been tracking food, steps, sleep, the whole boring spreadsheet. The confusing part is my fasting glucose came back at 103 the other day, when it used to hang out in the low 90s.
My doctor kind of shrugged and said to keep an eye on it, which was not the answer I wanted. Has anyone else watched their numbers go the wrong way in the first few months before things sorted out?
I'm not diabetic, so I'm just trying to figure out if this is normal or if I'm missing something.
