hey y'all, small-town Kentucky here. I'm 47, grew up slathering baby oil and using tanning beds in high school, and I've had two basal cell spots frozen off in the last three years.
My insurance makes me get a referral before dermatology, so I mostly ask my local pharmacist questions, poor lady. Lately I keep hearing guys at the gym and co-op mention a tanning peptide and claim it protects against skin cancer.
That seems like the opposite of what I learned, but I'm curious if anyone has actually seen solid info from a dermatologist. I'm not looking for sources or dosing, just wondering if this is all bro-science or if there's a real conversation. Anyone else hear this in their area?
