Hey all, three-year regular here. I had my gallbladder out seven weeks ago and thought recovery would be a straight line.
I'd been cruising along, down 42 lbs since last spring and pants size 18 to 14, then the first two weeks post-op I lived on crackers, applesauce, rice, and scrambled egg whites. Now I'm easing back into normal meals, but fat is weird. Half an avocado is fine.
A slice of pizza puts me on the couch for an hour with gross fullness and regret. Not looking for medical advice, just comparing notes.
I searched old threads here and saw a few folks mention this phase passing around weeks 8 to 12. For those further out: did your fat tolerance ever fully come back, or did you just learn your new normal? Also, did your appetite cues reset after surgery? Trying to be patient over here.
