Break room report

Break room report. I work nights. Coworker stopped me mid sentence to ask if I was sick. No. Just down 24 lbs and tired.

Good:

  • Down 24 lbs since June.
  • Waist down 3 inches.
  • No 2 a.m. vending machine runs in 7 weeks.
  • Walk 6k steps on most shifts.

Bad:

  • Same number for 12 days.
  • Sleep is trash.
  • Break room smell still makes me gag.
  • I snap at people when I'm hungry.

Numbers:

  • Start: 241.
  • Now: 217.
  • Goal: 190.
  • Water: 70 oz.
  • Protein: 100g.

Not magic. Just boring. I'll take it. Anyone else get asked if they're sick when they're actually just losing?

12 days flat while your waist is down 3 inches is exactly why I stopped trusting daily weigh-ins. My sheet only compares same-shift weeks: post-night-shift weight, post-main-sleep weight, Sunday waist, and a 7-day median.

Night shifts always add ~1.5 lb of water for me, so raw daily numbers across shifts are junk data. Sharp question: are you weighing right after your shift or after your main sleep?

If it’s post-shift, log both for 10 days and compare medians, not the daily number. Also, the break-room gag is real—I’d keep a thermos and eat elsewhere until that smell clears.
