My fourth lift is the first thing to go

I’m not crashing, but I can see the seams. Last month I hit four lifts a week, 180g protein, lights out by 10:30. This month work got weird.

I’ve done three lifts for two weeks, protein is landing closer to 130g, and I’m scrolling in bed until midnight. The scale hasn’t jumped much, but my waist tape and gym numbers are flat-ish, and I know it’s consistency, not the med. Not looking for a miracle fix.

I’m putting the fourth session back on the calendar as a 30-minute minimum, pre-logging protein, and treating sleep like a real set. Skeptical of shortcuts, so I’d rather troubleshoot the boring stuff. Anyone else notice recomp slipping through weekday margins before the scale catches up?

Tbh your fourth lift is the canary, not the cause. I’d map the degradation chain: weird work → later bedtime → scroll → shorter sleep → worse recovery → fewer lifts → compressed meals → protein drops.

Pick one floor you can defend on bad weeks—3 lifts, 130g protein, phone charging outside the bedroom at 10:15—and track weekly averages, not daily guilt. Sharp question: is the midnight scroll actual decompression you need, or revenge bedtime procrastination? Those need different fixes.
