Scale bumped up 2.6 pounds, and I'm not spiraling

Daily weigher on a GLP-1 here. My scale popped up 2.6 lb between Friday and Monday, which used to send me into a tailspin. I checked my seven-day average: up 0.8. My twenty-one-day direction: still down.

Nothing else changed except a salty dinner, a long walk that left my legs sore, and two nights of rough sleep. So I logged it, drank my usual water, and went to bed. Tuesday it was down 1.4.

I'm not saying bumps are fun; they're just data. The weekly average is doing the actual talking, and mine is still speaking in a lower register.

Anyone else get a short upward blip that makes your brain louder than your numbers?

Cafe owner here, so I get the food-business temptation piece. I keep a cheap notebook by the till and jot S/S/Z—salty, sore, sleep—next to my morning weight.

After a long day on my feet plus a salty dinner, my scale does a 2–3 day puff then drops; the 7-day average is the only number I trust. One concrete thing that helped: I portion my staff meal into a small container before service, because tasting while plating was sneaking in a lot of untracked bites.

Was your salty dinner something you cooked, or takeout? Takeout sodium hits me way harder, and I’m curious if that lines up for you.
